The Electricity at Work Regulations Act 1989 states that if you have a lightning protection system installed you have a responsibility to ensure you test your lightning protection system and maintain it in order to minimise risk and danger. Current best practice across the industry is for your system to be inspected and tested annually, in accordance with the recommendations in the latest standards of BS6651 and BS EN 62305.
