Designing your lightning protection or ground earthing solution is bespoke to your project. Many factors can determine your requirements such as building location, structure, usage and ground composition. These factors will determine the level of protection that is required, if any and these will form the basis of our design process.

We use the latest CAD design software, in-house, to design tailor-made solutions for our clients that demonstrate the levels of protection required. This is usually accompanied by a site visit, where necessary, and you can be assured that your needs are being met to BS EN 62305:2011.

Our experienced site teams are able to carry out installs at varying degrees of complexity and access. Holding up to date qualifications in IPAF (3a and 3b) and PASMA (mobile platforms) so from initial site assessment our engineers are able to assess requirements and complete the install quickly, safely and effectively.

The requirements of your project is assessed at design stage and install is carried out to your specifications and timescales to divert large scale electrical current delivered by lightning flashes/strikes. Each project is different and you can be rest assured that our fully trained engineers can adapt to unforeseen complications should they arise.

All systems installed are designed and installed to the latest British standards (BS EN 62305) with the aim of minimising damage to structures, equipment and people.

Ensuring your system continues to protect you, your structures and your equipment effectively we recommend regular maintenance and testing. In fact, The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 states that all installed lightning protection systems are tested in accordance with the relevant standard (this will depend on when your system was installed) and at an interval of no more than 12 months.

Over time, weather and soil conditions can change and reduce the effectiveness of a lightning protection system to the extent that improvements are required to ensure your system continues to protect you and your business.
